'Jai' in Thuppakki

Grapevine is abuzz that Jai of 'Engeyum Eppothum' fame is to be roped in Vijay's 'Thuppakki'. Jai had earlier played the role of Vijay's brother in 'Bhagavathi'. The actor who had now gained recognition in the industry as a star is said to have been offered to play the role of Vijay's brother in Thuppaki. However, there is no official confirmation on the same. The second schedule of Thuppakki has kickstarted in Mumbai and high action sequences have been reported to be shot. 

Sreekar Prasad replaces Anthony

National Award winner 'Sreekar Prasad' has been roped in as the Editor for 'Thuppakki'. Editor Anthony who had worked with A.R. Murugadoss starting from Ghajini to 7am Arivu is said to have been replaced by Sreekar Prasad. Speculations surrounding the sudden change of Editor is that the director and editor had difference of opinions while working in the previous film. 

Music update

Harris Jayaraj has already composed three songs for Thupakki and working on the other two tracks. The songs composed so far is said to have come out well.

Ajith's 'Billa 2' is nearing completion. A high action stunt sequence is being shot in Russia. Major part of the film has been shot in Goa. A dance number is yet to be shot with Ajith and Parvathy Omanakuttan. The dance sequence is likely to be shot within the studios of Chennai. The film gets wrapped with the dance number. Yuvan has scored the music. Audio to be released in the 4th week of March. The film is to be released on May 1.
