Vikram who appeared in a cameo in 'Vanakkam Chennai' song from Marina, is said to have been interested in working with the director. 'Marina' director Pandiraj is set to begin his next project which is touted to be a romantic comedy. Vikram is buzzed to be roped in as the lead in this film. The actor who is currently busy in two projects 'Thandavam' and 'David' (Hindi) is said to allot dates for this film after the completion of these projects.

Thandavam has completed its first schedule in Delhi and the team is set to begin its next schedule in New York. Director A.L.Vijay is currently in U.S on a location hunt for the film. A song 'Oru Paadhi Kanavu Neeyadi' has been shot recently with Vikram and Anuskha.

Samantha back to K-Town with Naan Ee

Samantha who is busy in Tollywood is to be seen next in 'Naan Ee' a bilingual movie shot in Tamil and Telugu (Eega). The film is directed by S.S. Rajamouli of 'Magadheera' fame. The film has a different plot where the hero who gets killed by the villain is reborn as Ee (Housefly). The Ee takes revenge from the memories of its last birth.

Nani of 'Veppam' fame plays the lead role while Kannada actor Sudeep plays the villain. Santham plays a pivotal role in this film. Music by  M. M. Keeravani. Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics for the songs. Crazy Mohan has written the dialogues for the Tamil version. 

Samantha is playing the lead in Gautham Menon's trilingual film 'Neethane En Ponvasantham'. The actress also plays the lead in Mani Ratnam's upcoming film 'Kadal' opposite Gautham.

Maatraan update

The shooting of Maatraan is progressing in a fast pace in Hyderabad so as to wrap up this schedule by the month end. A song shoot which is happening currently is expected to get over by this weekend. Major stunt sequences are to be canned next week.

Theatres closed today!

Theatres will be closed today to protest against Government's plan to impose Service Tax on the Film industry.

Ajith flying RC Helicopter

Ajith was seen flying a RC Helicopter during Billa 2 shot break. The actor is said to have built his own RC (Radio-controlled) Helicopter.
