Piku Kolkata schedule wrapped

The Kolkata schedule of PK has come to an end. The lead actor Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan were part of this schedule. The team had a good time shooting in Kolkatta. 

Amitabh Bachchan felt sad on the schedule coming to an end and leaving the city of joy. “As the Kolkata schedule closes in to an end, withdrawal symptoms creep in.. Shall be a tough leave.. BUT.. We shall be back!,” he posted on Twitter.

Sircar too took to Twitter and thanked West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the support. “’PIKU’ finishes Kolkata schedule... Grateful to the CM of West Bengal, Mamata di, for her support and warmth... This would not have been possible without her blessings... And to the people of Kolkata, for their love, for making us feel at home... From PIKU team... Dhonobaad!!,” Sircar tweeted.

Piku deals with a different take on the relationship of a father and daughter. Amitabh Bachchan will play the father, while Deepika Padukone will be playing his daughter. The film is expected to hit theatres April 30, 2015.
