'Glam doll' turns 'Action' heroine

Amy Jackson of 'Madrasapattinam' fame to play an action oriented role in 'Thandavam' starring Vikram, Anushka and Jagapathi Babu. The actress is exctied about her new role where she gets to unwrap her action skills. The movie touted to be an action thriller is directed by A.L. Vijay. Her bollywood debut film Ek Deewana Tha [Hindi 'Vinnai Thandi Varuvaaya'] directed by Gautham Menon is set to hit the screens next month.

Vetrimaran's upcoming flick 'Vada Chennai' starring Simbu and Rana Daggubati will have Ramya alias Divya Spandana as the leading lady. Ramya who was earlier seen in 'Polladavan' is joining hands with Simbu again after 'Kuthu'. The film is produced by Cloud Nine Movies. The shooting of the film is expected to commence soon.

Vijay TV snatches Nanban

The satellite rights of Vijay's 'Nanban' which is having a good response at the theatres is said to have been acquired by Vijay TV for a huge sum of 12 crores. It is reported to be the highest single price paid ever for the satellite rights of a Tamil movie so far.

Oprah Winfrey the International queen of Talk Show is in India to shoot for her new series “Next Chapter”, where she steps out of the studio to interview celebrities by travelling across the world. Oprah is to interview renowned author Deepak Chopra for her series. She met the who’s who of Bollywood at a party and tweeted in her micro blog, “Was so great meeting all the beautiful Bollywooders, Directors, poets, screenwriters, what a nite!”
