Bang Bang Opening Day Box Office Collection

Bang Bang is an action thriller film directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Fox Star Studios. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif play the lead roles. The film hit the screens yesterday. Tagged as the official remake of Tom Cruise-Cameron starrer "Knight and Day", the film has opened to mixed reviews. Bang Bang released in more than 4500 screens in India.

The film has a thunderous start at the Box Office with 80% occupancy for morning shows. Bang Bang has collected Rs. 27.54 crores on its opening day. The film has turned out to be the second highest grosser this year following Ajay Devgn's Singham Returns which collected Rs. 32.09 on its opening day. The film has however beaten the record of Salman Khan's 'Kick' which had collected Rs. 26.40 crore on Day 1. 

Bang Bang has released on a five day holiday weekend which will work in favour of the film despite getting mixed reviews. The other film Haider which released alongside Haider has received positive reviews and the word of mouth for the film is strong. However Haider released only in around 1200 screens while Bang Bang screen count is higher compared to Haider.

The other factor to be considered is the budget of the film. Bang Bang is said to have been made on a whopping budget of Rs. 140 crore (including Prints & Advertising). The film has to good business on the week days as well to recover its production cost.
