Director Shankar is set out on the roll for his next project with Vikram. The duo is believed to join hands again after Anniyan. Shankar seems to be elated by the overwhelming response for his movie 'Nanban'. The director is however said to start off his next project after a break. Vikram is currently busy shooting for his upcoming flick 'Thandavam'.

Director Lingusamy who is confident about his story and the way the movie 'Vettai' has come up is also thinking of remaking the film in Hindi. The director wants to cast Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor for the roles of Madhavan and Arya respectively.

Tamil Film Producers Council has restricted the number of movie releases per weekend to 5 including dubbed movies with effect from February 1.

'Delhi Belly' in Tamil

Delhi Belly which proved successful in Hindi is to be remade in Tamil and Telugu by the same production house UTV. Names of popular stars like Jayam Ravi and Nag Chaitanya were speculated for the lead role in the film. UTV has rubbished rumours saying that the movie is definitely to be remade but the leading artists for the film are yet to be approached. Director Kannan of 'Kanden Kadhalai' fame is reported to direct this movie.
