I learnt from Mammooty Sir. During Aanandham, he wanted the cast to stay together so that the warmth would get translated onto the screen. Luckily, during Vettai, we got to stay together at The Bangla, in Karaikudi. It was great fun.

Mani Ratnam's upcoming flick 'Pookadai' has been in the buzz constantly with speculations surrounding the leading lady as nothing has been officially announced till date. The latest additon to the list is Samantha. Earlier it was Radha's daughter 'Thulasi' and B-town babe 'Sonam'. Samantha is the lucky charm who is playing the lead in Gautham Menon's trilingual venture 'Neethane En Ponvasantham'. Who will bag the role finally is a big question?
'Businessman' struggles in TN
Mahesh Babu's 'Businessman', the most awaited movie in Tollywood is having difficulties in getting screens in Tamil Nadu as two biggies 'Nanban' and 'Vettai' are slated for Pongal release. With only 3 days left for the release, the ads for the movie seems to be featuring without theatre listing. Only the telugu version of the movie is getting released on 13th January. Latest buzz is the movie not being dubbed in Tamil, strengthes the rumours that it will be remade in Tamil based on its success featuring Surya or Karthi as Studio Green has bagged the remake rights.

Big Films to be released only for festivals. The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) has made the decision in order to facilitate small films to get their quantum of recognition by providing enough screen space and playing time. Five festive days (April 14, May 1st, August 15th, Diwali and Pongal) has been allotted for the release of Big films.
