What is different about Nanban?

With Nanban being a faithful remake of 3 Idiots, the script is expected to be similar to that of Hindi. But, Shankar has made a few small yet important changes in Tamil.

• After a lot of auditions, Shankar decided to cast Sathyan as Silencer. When this casting decision was made, it was received with a lot of skepticism. Now, when people saw the movie, they are praising Sathyan for his performance. Shankar's strength is his casting and it appears that he has nailed it again. 
• The comedy quotient is expected to be more in the Tamil version with all the key actors including Vijay, Sathyaraj, Jiiva and Sathiyan are known for their excellent timing.
• Sathyaraj as 'Virus' pronounces the words with a lisp. This is expected to add an interesting dimension to the role played by Boman Irani.
• Shankar has added an additional song in this movie. Asku Laska and other songs have been picturized in a grand manner
• One of the scenes in the second half has an interesting deviation from the original version in Hindi. We do not want to reveal it here.

The ticket reservations formally opens on January 8th even though many theatres in some cities have already started reservations.
