Pardesi sweeps awards at Norway Film Festival
The Norway Tamil Film Festival (NTFF) has announced the winners of Tamilar Awards 2014. Director Bala's critically acclaimed film Paradesi has won four awards - Best film, Best director, Best actor and Best cinematographer. The awardees will receive the awards at the Norway Tamil Film Festival to be held in Oslo, Norway, on 27 April 2014.
Best Film - Paradesi
Best Director - Bala
Best Actor - Atharvaa
Best Cinematographer - Chezhian
Atharva, Vedhika and Dhansika played the lead roles in Paradesi. GV Prakash had scored the music.

Aachi Manorama is back home
Veteran actor Manorama who was admitted to a private hospital a week back following chest pain, was discharged yesterday. She was admitted to Apollo Hospital on March 30.
Doctors had performed angioplasty and she was kept under observation for over a week. Aachi was taken home yesterday evening after she had recovered well. She has been advised rest for a few more weeks.
The 75-year old was last seen in Suriya-starrer Tamil actioner "Singam 2" last year.
