Insider Report - Poda Podi's Song Shelved

Simbu's Poda Podi has been in the works since 2008. Gemini Film's Poda Podi is becoming one expensive movie with the finances slowly creeping up higher year after year. For example, the entire unit was stationed in an expensive city like London for 45 days in 2010 for shooting a few scenes. The movie has been in the news on and off as newer projects of STR get prioritized higher over this one.

Recently, there was a large set erected in AVM studio for shooting a song for Poda Podi with accomplished technicians like Randy alias Rathnavelu (Enthiran Cinematographer) recruited to complete just one song for the movie. The song picturization could not be completed as STR got busy with Osthe post-production work and release. Only a few hours of shooting was completed before the booking period for the set ran out after 20 days. Now, the AVM Studio has gone ahead and started dismantling the sets yesterday to make way for the next shooting.

With such expensive losses, Poda Podi movie is indeed becoming a very 'osthi' proposition...
