Earth Hour — the global campaign by World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to raise awareness about climate change — will be observed from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m on March 29. This year’s campaign will mark the sixth year of the movement in the country and will ask individuals and organisations to switch to renewable energy.

The happening composer Anirudh was announced the face of this year’s campaign. Anirudh tweeted, "Happy to be the youngest brand ambassador for WWF's International Earth Hour campaign."

The 'Kolaveri' composer has joined hands with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and will be leading Earth Hour 2014 throughout Tamil Nadu. He has urged people to switch off unnecessary appliances to participate in the campaign.
