Moone Moonu Varthai is produced by S.P Charan of Capital Film Works and directed by Madhumita. After Vallamai Thaaraayo and Kola Kolaya Mundhirika, this is Madhumita's third feature film. The film is a romantic comedy featuring newcomer Arjun Chidambaram in the lead. Venkatesh Harinathan of Sutta Kadhai fame plays the other lead and Aditi Chengappa plays the heroine. S.P.Balasubramaniam and Lakshmi play supporting cast.

Camera is handled by Srinivasan Venkatesh and music is by Karthikeya Murthy. The film went on floors yesterday and is slated for release in June.

On Saturday, Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Simbu and Dhanush had a fun evening at a restaurant in Chennai and bonded well despite their professional rivalries. Simbu posted a picture on his Twitter page with a tweet saying: "What a night Thanks to Vijay anna and Dhanush"
