Amala Paul in Samuthrakani's next?
Amala Paul is playing the lead role opposite Jayam Ravi in Samuthrakani's upcoming film 'Nimirnthu Nil' which is slated for release on February 14. The film is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu. Nani plays the lead role in the Telugu version titled Janda Pai Kapiraju.
The latest buzz in K-Town is that Amala Paul will be working with Samuthrakani again for a horror flick. Samuthrakani is also set to don the producer's hat for the first time with this film. The details of the cast and crew are yet to be announced.
Purampokku first schedule wrapped
Purampokku starring Vijay Sethupathi, Arya, Karthika Nair and Shaam is directed by SP Jhananathan. The team had completed the first schedule of the film which was shot in Kulu Manali and Rajasthan. The film deals with illegal acquisition of 'Purampokku' lands by people with power. The film is produced by UTV Motion Pictures.
Aaha Kalyanam shooting wrapped
Bollywood top production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) is foraying into South film industry with Aaha Kalyanam starring Nani of 'Naan Ee' fame and Vani Kapoor in the lead roles. It is a remake of YRF's Bollywood hit, Band Bajaa Baarat which released in 2010. The shooting has been finally wrapped yesterday with a few patch up shots. Dharan Kumar has scored the music.
The film is set to hit the screens on February 21.
