D-Day is a action spy thriller movie directed by Nikhil Advani starring Arjun Rampal, Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Huma Qureshi, Shruti Haasan and Sandeep Kulkarni in the prominent roles. The film was released on 19 July 2013. Shruti Haasan had essayed the role of a prostitute from Karachi. She also had some intimate scenes with her co actor Arjun Rampal in the film. 

The film is set to be dubbed and released in Tamil as Dawood. Shruthi however doesn't seem to happy about the film being dubbed in Tamil. The '3' actor has issued a press release in this regard which says, "This is to inform all concerned that I am disassociating myself from the release of D-Day in Tamil called Dawood as it is being done without my consent or approval and is a clear breach of contract. In fact, we will be taking a legal action on this issue"
