Hours after Dhanush's speech at a fan blood donation drive sparked political entry speculation, actor Vishal has added to the buzz with similarly suggestive remarks at a recent event.

"Going forward, my path will not be an ordinary one. I will only tread on a straightforward path, no shortcuts. I will take that route and ensure support for you in all aspects," Vishal said, stopping short of a direct announcement but fuelling widespread speculation online.

Vishal joins Dhanush and Raghava Lawrence as Tamil film actors who have recently hinted at political ambitions, with netizens drawing parallels to actor Vijay's trajectory from cinema to the Chief Minister's chair.

On the film front, Vishal's directorial debut Magudam, also starring Anjali and Dushara Vijayan, releases on August 14 and will clash with Suriya's Vishwanath & Sons and Kavin's Hi.
