Rukmini Vasanth, known for the Sapta Sagaradaache Ello franchise and Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1, is widely speculated to be part of the cast of Rajinikanth's Dharman, though Raaj Kamal Films International is yet to officially confirm her involvement. News outlets across South India, particularly in Kannada media, and industry insiders have reported her casting.

Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, Dharman marks Rajinikanth's 173rd film and also stars Simran, Raashii Khanna and Yogi Babu. The film, which has gone through multiple directorial changes — from Sundar C to Cibi Chakravarthi before Ashwath came on board — is described through its posters as a story centred around a "deadly doctor," with Ashwath recently hinting at a family-oriented thriller.
