Suriya's Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji, has crossed Rs 340 crore at the worldwide box office, making it the highest-grossing film of Suriya's career. Producer Dream Warrior Pictures made the announcement earlier today, describing the film as "The roaring divine blockbuster of the year" and noting that it is now into its fifth week in theatres.

The milestone comes even as the film made its digital debut on Prime Video this Friday, with the theatrical run continuing alongside the OTT premiere.

Karuppu follows the titular deity, played by Suriya, who descends to Earth and becomes a champion for those crushed under systemic injustice. The film also stars Trisha, Indrans, Swasika, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Supreeth Reddy in key roles.
