Director Pandiraaj has revealed that his upcoming comedy thriller Parimala and Co was shot in just 45 days, with the credit going entirely to his cast and crew. Speaking to IANS, he clarified that accounting for double call sheets, the total could technically be stretched to 60 days, but the speed was made possible by having what he called "one take artistes" on set.

"When you have such artistes, you naturally will be able to complete it swiftly," he said, with the ensemble headlined by Jayaram and Urvashi reuniting on screen after over two decades.

The teaser, released earlier this month, set up the film's delicious premise: a seemingly ordinary family bickering over their househelp's wages, only to reveal at the end that the very same family has committed murder. The ensemble also includes Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Sandy, Santosh Sobhan, and Tamilkumaran. Parimala and Co is produced by Lyca Productions, Tamilkumaran Productions, and Pandiraaj's own Pasanga Productions. The film hits theatres on May 28.
