Peddi Trailer: Ram Charan Is The Village's Undisputed Champion In This June 4 Sports Drama

PUBLISHED DATE | 20/May/2026

The trailer for Ram Charan's high-budget sports drama Peddi is out, with the film set for a June 4 theatrical release.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the trailer wastes no time establishing its hero. Peddi is the village's undisputed champion across every sport he touches, be it cricket, wrestling, or athletics. The sport changes but the winner never does. Ram Charan carries the role with quiet authority, summing it all up in one line: "I am Peddi, sir." A particularly telling piece of dialogue drives his stature home further: "Peddi is not a deity in a temple, he is a deity on the ground."

The narrative appears to shift gears when Peddi is compelled to take on professionally trained opponents at the national level, with the story moving from a rural village setting to Delhi's larger arenas. A subplot involving a railway station, seemingly central to Jagapathi Babu's character arc, looks to be a key thread in shaping the film's conflict. Jagapathi Babu himself appears in a strikingly different avatar. Janhvi Kapoor features in a meaningful role while a dramatic train sequence involving Jabardasth Mahesh adds an unexpected emotional punch to the trailer.

AR Rahman's score is an immediate standout, lending both weight and energy to the visuals. R Rathnavelu's cinematography is rich and expansive, while the production design deserves special mention as much of the film was shot on elaborate sets that convincingly build the film's world from the ground up.

Peddi is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, with IVY Entertainment as co-production banner and Ishan Saksena as co-producer
