The leak of Vijay’s Jana Nayagan has taken a major turn, with Tamil Nadu Cyber Crime Police arresting three more individuals in connection with the case.

The film, directed by H. Vinoth and touted as Vijay’s final outing before his political entry, was recently leaked online in HD quality, triggering widespread outrage. With the latest arrests, the total number of accused held in the case has risen to nine.

Among those arrested is a freelance assistant editor, who was reportedly working at an editing studio. Investigations have revealed that the accused allegedly accessed and stole the film’s reel from the facility without authorisation and shared it with others, leading to its online circulation.

The Cyber Crime wing stated that the case was registered on April 11, 2026, and further arrests were made on April 15 based on technical analysis and digital evidence. The accused have been produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.

Authorities have also cautioned the public against downloading or sharing pirated content, warning of strict legal consequences for those involved in digital piracy.
