Amid the controversy surrounding the leak of Jana Nayagan, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan has come out in strong support of editor Pradeep E Ragav, dismissing doubts over his involvement.

Speaking about the issue, Vignesh revealed that Pradeep, who edited Jana Nayagan, also worked on his film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK). He added that despite internal discussions, the source behind the leak is still unknown.

Vignesh went on to highlight the editor’s professionalism and strict working methods. He noted that even while sharing clips from LIK, Pradeep ensures they are watermarked, password-protected, and time-bound, with access links that expire after a few hours.

Given such security practices, Vignesh Shivan stated that he does not see any lapse from the editor’s side and expressed confidence in his integrity.
