Pradeep Ranganathan’s much-awaited film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), directed by Vignesh Shivan, is currently slated for a theatrical release on April 10. While the makers are yet to officially reveal the film’s storyline, alleged plot details have now surfaced on social media.
According to these unverified reports, the film is set in the year 2040, in a world where even love can be insured. The story reportedly revolves around a system that predicts and controls relationships through data and risk analysis. However, things take a turn when the protagonist experiences love himself, only to realise that the system begins to manipulate emotions rather than merely predicting outcomes. What follows is said to be a conflict between human emotion and technological control.
The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan alongside SJ Suryah and Krithi Shetty in lead roles, with a supporting cast that includes Gouri Kishan, Yogi Babu, Seeman, Shah Ra, Mysskin, Anandaraj, and Sunil Reddy, among others.
On the technical front, the film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his reunion with director Vignesh Shivan. Cinematography is handled by Ravi Varman, editing by Pradeep E Ragav, production design by Muthuraj, and stunts choreographed by Peter Hein.
Backed by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio, the film has already generated strong buzz, and fans now await an official confirmation regarding the storyline.
