Actor-director Samuthirakani has responded to a viral leaked clip from a private function, stating that he spoke “from a place of pain and concern.”

The clip, which circulated widely online, led to speculation that his comments were directed at Vijay and Trisha. While addressing the issue in a recent interview, Samuthirakani confirmed the clip’s authenticity but refrained from naming anyone.

He revealed that he was aware of someone recording the conversation and acknowledged that only a portion of it was leaked. According to him, the beginning of the discussion was missing, and the viral version did not capture the full context.

Standing by his remarks, the actor said he does not regret what he said, adding that he would not express something publicly that contradicts his true feelings. He also mentioned that a stunt master had warned him about the recording, but he chose not to worry as he believed he had spoken honestly.

Samuthirakani further noted that the conversation may have been exaggerated online, but maintained that he had done nothing wrong. On the work front, he will be seen in upcoming projects like Carmeni Selvam with Gautham Vasudev Menon and Arasan, directed by Vetri Maaran.
