After wrapping shoot last year, Root starring Gautham Ram Karthik, is currently in the final stages of post-production. The makers are aiming to complete the process soon.

Billed as a sci-fi crime thriller, the film is written and directed by debutant Sooriyaprathap S, a former associate director on Kochadaiiyaan. Editing, sound design, music, VFX, and DI are progressing simultaneously at a brisk pace.

Producer Shaik Mujeeb expressed confidence in the output, stating that the film is shaping up as planned and promises a technically strong and intense cinematic experience.

The film also marks the Tamil debut of Aparshakti Khurana, alongside Bhavya Trikha, Y Gee Mahendran, Pavni Reddy, Linga, and RJ Anandhi.

Backed by Verus Productions, Root has completed dubbing for the lead actors. Further details, including the release date, are yet to be announced.
