Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has reportedly narrated the script of his long-planned film #IrumbukaiMayavi to #AlluArjun, marking a major development for the ambitious project.

The film has had an interesting journey so far — it was initially conceived with #Suriya, later pitched to #AamirKhan, and has now reached Allu Arjun. Sources suggest that Mythri Movie Makers is prepared to bankroll the film once the star gives his final approval.

Irumbukai Mayavi is described as a superhero drama inspired by DC’s 1962 comic The Steel Claw, which revolves around a man who loses his right hand and is fitted with a steel prosthetic. An unexpected electric shock gives him the power to turn invisible, except for the metal hand — setting the stage for a unique superhero narrative.

If Allu Arjun signs on, the project could become one of the most anticipated films in the pan-Indian superhero space.
