Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has directed six films in total including his last release Coolie (2025) and his signature franchise LCU titles - Kaithi (2019), Vikram (2022), and Leo (2023). Kaithi 2 starring Karthi in the lead is the long awaited next LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) movie, which is expected to go on floors with Dream Warrior Pictures producing it, but the film has not taken off yet owing to prolonged discussions over budget, remunerations, and financial planning.
At this time, Santhosh Krishnan, an associate director of Lokesh Kanagaraj's has shared an image of the team assembled for Lokesh's next directorial, LK 7. Buzz in the grapevine is that Lokesh Kanagaraj's seventh directorial will mark his Telugu debut, with star actor Pawan Kalyan playing the lead and KVN Productions backing the project.
Prabhas is the other lead linked to this multi-starrer. Reportedly, Lokesh plans to cast Prabhas and Pawan Kalyan in a story he initially narrated to Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
Official details on LK 7 are currently awaited. It is worth mentioning here that Lokesh Kanagaraj makes his acting debut with a movie titled DC, which is slated for a Summer 2026 release. LK 7 will begin after DC.
