No entertainment tax exemption for Jilla and Veeram
Ajith’s Veeram and Vijay’s Jilla are the most awaited films which have hit the screens today on the occasion of Pongal. The advance booking for both the films has been phenomenal. Both Ajith and Vijay fans thronged in large numbers in many theatres early in the morning to catch the much-awaited ‘first-day first-show’ of the films. In some theatres, screening started as early as 4 am. The films however have not been granted the entertainment tax waiver of 30% despite getting ‘U’ certificate and also bearing tamil film titles.
