Kantara: Chapter 1 is a Kannada-language period mythological action drama that released in theaters on October 2, 2025 (Thursday). The film written, directed, headlined by Rishab Shetty, and Hombale Films has grossed a whopping Rs. 335 Cr. in its four-day opening weekend box office collections worldwide. 

A prequel to the 2022 film Kantara (2022), Kantara: Chapter 1 also stars Jayaram, Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Deviah among others, and has B Ajaneesh Loknath for music. The movie is also currently running in theaters in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, and English languages.
