Shruti Haasan starts shooting for Ramana Hindi remake
Akshay Kumar will be playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of Ramana, which has been titled Gabbar. Shruti Hassan plays the female lead. The film went on floors today. Ramana which was directed by AR Murugadoss in Tamil, is now being remade in Hindi and Vaanam fame Krish is wielding the megaphone for it. The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Shruthi who recently underwent an appendix operation has started shooting for Gabbar in Mumbai.

Sripriya to direct Drishyam Telugu remake
Mohan Lal, Meena starrer Drishyam (2013) is one of the biggest hits in the Mollywood film industry in the recent times. The film, a family thriller, won great acclaim. The film was directed by Jeethu Joseph.
Former actress Sripriya will be directing this movie in Telugu. An official press statement says, "Rajkumar Theatres Pvt Ltd, after its maiden Telugu /Tamil bilingual 'Malini 22' Palayamkkottai, is happy to announce its second Telugu venture. The untitled film is a joint venture with Suresh Productions in association with Wide Angle Creations. It will star Victory Venkatesh in the lead and will be directed by Sripriya."

1983 Malayalam movie Official Trailer
Nivin Pauly of 'Thattathin Marayathu' and 'Neram' fame is playing the lead role in '1983' directed by Abrid Shine. The movie is based on cricket and its popularity in Kerala. 1983 is produced by T R Shamsudeen in the banner of Shams films and has music by Gopi Sundar.
