Coming-of-age drama Bad Girl is an upcoming Tamil movie that is all set to release in theaters on September 5, 2025. The heroine-centric movie created a huge buzz in the Tamil film industry wits its teaser release in January this year. Bad Girl written and directed by Varsha Bharath, and produced by Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Film Company was deemed 'too woke' for the Tamil cine audience. 

Ahead of the Bad Girl's release, director Vetrimaaran has announced that he is shutting down his production house, and Bad Girl will be the last movie from his banner. The movie has also sparked buzz with its censor report dated June 18, 2025, which showcases the list of explicit words that have been taken out, or replaced by the Censor Board of Film Certification in India. 

Bad Girl starring Anjali Sivaraman in the lead meets Sivakarthikeyan-AR Murugadoss' Madharaasi at the Tamil box-office. Romeo Pictures is distributing Bad Girl in Tamil Nadu. The uncensored version of Bad Girl first premiered at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam on February 7, 2025. 

Bollywood music director Amit Trivedi has composed music for Bad Girl, and Sony Music label holds the audio rights. The post-theatrical OTT rights of Bad Girl are with JioHotstar streaming platform. Bad Girl's satellite rights is with the Star Vijay Tamil channel. 

Bad Girl's Kerala distribution partner is E4 Entertainment. The movie also stars Shantipriya, Saranya Ravichandran, Hridhu Haroon, Teejay Arunasalam, Sashank Bommireddipalli, among others.
