Shruti Haasan undergoes appendix operation

Shruti Haasan recently underwent an appendix operation in Mumbai. The actress is making a slow recovery. She tweeted, "Thank you for all your love and get well soon wishes! Appendix out and raring to go, albeit a bit slowly"

The '3' actress was admitted to Jubilee Hills Apollo hospital after she complained of acute stomach pain on Sunday. She was promoting her forthcoming release 'Yevadu' at its app launch when she complained of the pain.

Shruti Haasan upcoming films include 'Race Gurram' (Telugu), 'Welcome Back' and Gabbar (Hindi). Shruthi will be paring opposite Vishal in director Hari's film in Tamil.

Ilayaraja back to Music!

Music Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, who suffered a mild heart attack a few days ago, is now back in action. The composer is back scoring the music for the Snehan starrer, Rajaraja Chozhanin Porvaal. He had started recording a song for the film at Prasad Studios yesterday.

Arya gets a new title

Kamal Haasan during the 100 days celebration event of Raja Rani has bestowed the title Kadhal Ilavarasan to Arya. At the event, Kamal Haasan reportedly stated, "As I have been holding it (the title of Kadhal Ilavarasan) for many decades. Now, I want to hand over the baton to Arya. He will be the next Kadhal Ilavarasan."

The film is being directed by Srivas. The music is being composed by Bappa Lahiri, Chinna and Achu.
