Anupama Parameswaran on Working in Mari Selvaraj's Bison

Actor Anupama Parameswaran, who is awaiting the release of her Telugu social drama Paradha, is equally excited about her upcoming Tamil film Bison, directed by Mari Selvaraj. The sports drama, based on kabaddi, stars Dhruv Vikram in the lead and is scheduled for a Diwali release on October 17, 2025.

In a recent interview, Anupama revealed that though she missed the chance to be part of Mari’s acclaimed films Pariyerum Perumal and Maamannan, she is thrilled to finally collaborate with him. She described Mari’s style as unique, sharing that the cast underwent a two-month workshop at the actual shooting location, where they interacted with locals to understand their lives.

Calling Bison one of her “most special projects,” Anupama said the process was unlike anything she had experienced before. She praised Mari Selvaraj’s honest approach, saying, “If Mari sir thinks I am doing something silly, he would not wait for a second to correct me.”

Alongside Dhruv Vikram and Anupama, the film features Lal, Pasupathy, Kalaiyarasan, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal, and Aruvi Madhan in key roles. Bison also marks Dhruv Vikram’s comeback to the big screen after nearly three years since Mahaan (2022).
