Manjummel Boys Director Chidambaram's Next Titled Balan: The Boy

Manjummel Boys director Chidambaram is joining hands with Aavesham filmmaker Jithu Madhavan, who has written his next project titled Balan: The Boy.

The title poster, revealed on social media, shows a young boy walking barefoot with a stick, shirtless and in dark shorts, set against a light background with colourful flowers and vines.

The film’s production began on Sunday with a traditional pooja ceremony in Kovalam. The project was first announced earlier this year.

Interestingly, Balan is also the name of the first Malayalam sound film, released in 1938, after the silent films Vigathakumaran and Marthanda Varma.
