Kuberaa starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh among others is an upcoming socio political thriller written and directed by Sekhar Kammula. A Telugu-Tamil bilingual, Kuberaa releases in theaters on June 20, 2025, and was scheduled for a trailer release on June 13, 2025 i.e. today. A pre-release event was also planned for the movie at Hyderabad, Telangana, to mark the Kuberaa trailer release.
On June 12, 2025, a tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat — caused by a deadly malfunction of a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner — claimed the lives of 241 passengers onboard, along with 24 more including students from the B J Medical College medical college mess the aircraft crashed into. In light of this, the makers of Kuberaa have decided to postpone their event, and trailer release.
Kuberaa trailer will now release on June 15, 2025. The makers have also re-scheduled the Kuberaa pre-release event to Sunday, June 15. A statement from the organizers of the Kuberaa pre-release event in Hyderabad reads,

The Tata Group, which owns the Air India airlines, have announced Rs 1 Cr. compensation to each to the kin of victims. Air India will have to pay a compensation of around Rs 1.5 crore, as per the Montreal Convention treaty. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, from where the Air India Boeing 787-8 took off and crashed within minutes, is currently only partially operational.

DNA tests are also currently being carried out to confirm the identities of the 241 victims, who were a mix of Indian Nationals, 53 British nationals, 7 Portuguese, and 1 Canadian. Vishwas Kumar Ramesh (39), a British national of Indian origin, seated in ’11A’, is the sole survivor of the crash.
