Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar played the memorable Narasimha in Rajinikanth's blockbuster hit Jailer (2023), and his character of a reformed criminal living in Mandya, was pivotal to Tiger Muthuvel Pandian's story, as Narasimha is one who lends Rajinikanth the four sharpshooters, who end up serving as his backbones. 

So it was no surprise when Shiva Rajkumar in a recent interview confirmed that he is returning as Narasimha in Jailer 2. "I am there, they have said, Nelson was saying that", said Shiva Rajkumar giving an update on Jailer 2, during a promotional event in Mumbai. 

Jailer 2 comes as a direct sequel to Jailer, with Rajinikanth returning as the titular character, Nelson Dilipkumar returning as writer, director, Anirudh Ravichander returning as music composer, and Sun Pictures returning as the production banner.
