AR Rahman had scored the music for Dhanush, Parvathy Menon starrer Maryan directed by Bharath Bala. Maryan has been chosen as the 'Tamil Album of Year' in ITunes Best of 2013. This list was published on Apple itunes recently. The album had 7 tracks in total. The top picks in the album were Nenjae Ezhu, Innum Konjam and Kadal Rasa. AR Rahman has tweeted, "Thank you listeners for Maryan being chosen as the 'Tamil Album of Year' in iTunes' Best of 2013"

Ilayaraja Hospitalized, Condition Stable

Veteran music composer Ilayaraja aged 70 was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai yesterday (December 23) following complaint of chest pain. Ilayaraja suffered a mild heart attack while working at his studio in Chennai on Monday morning and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

The legend’s health condition is stable. Prayers for the mastero has been pouring in from across the flim fraternity. Venkat Prabhu has tweeted, "My uncle!! our isaignani!! Is absolutely fine!! Thanks for the love and prayers!!"

SS Rajamouli ropes in Tammana for Baahubali

The latest to join the cast of SS Rajamouli's period film Baahubali is Tamanna. The film is bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu. It is titled Mahaabali in Tamil. Tamanna will be donning the role of Avanthika in the film and is paired opposite Baahubali, played by Prabhas. She will soon start shooting for her portions.

The film also features an ensemble cast of Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj. The film is slated for 2015 release.

The Expendables 3 is an upcoming American ensemble action film directed by Patrick Hughes. It is a sequel to the 2012 action film The Expendables 2, and features returning cast members Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. New additions to the cast include Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, and Glen Powell. The film is set to hit the screens on 15 August 2014.
