Christopher Nolan directed epic science fiction drama Interstellar (2014), is that classic that lures audience into watching it even after a whole decade, be it on the big screen or small. In India, there was a furore recently over a Telugu-Indian film Pushpa 2: The Rule taking up IMAX screens, when Interstellar was up for a re-release on IMAX.
Though Interstellar is available to stream on OTT platforms in India, regional dubbed versions of the movie are hard to come by. Given the popularity of Interstellar in India, seems like that is changing now. Buzz has it that a Tamil dubbed version of Interstellar is all set to make its premiere on Discovery Tamil TV and OTT channels.
An official announcement on the same is however awaited. Interstellar is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video with Tamil, Telugu, Hindi subtitles, on Netflix with Hindi subtitles, and on Jio Cinema in India.
Jointly written by Christopher Nolan, and his younger brother Jonathan Nolan, Interstellar follows the story of how an ex-NASA pilot turned farmer (Matthew McConaughey), along with a team of researchers, travels beyond this galaxy through a newly discovered wormhole to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars. The movie also stars Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, John Lithgow, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Timothee Chalamet, Matt Damon, among others.
