Telugu star actor Allu Arjun has released his first official statement after spending a night in remand at the Chanchlaguda Central Jail on Friday December 13, 2024. Allu Arjun and two other accused in the December 4 Sandhya Theater stampede case which resulted in the death of a 35 year old woman named Revathi, and the grave injury of her 9 year old son Shri Tej, were granted bail for 4 weeks from December 13 by the Telangana High Court.

The conditions for this anticipatory bail include execution of personal bond of Rs. 50,000, Allu Arjun to appear before the jail superintendent to execute bonds, Allu Arjun to co-operate, and not interfere with the ongoing investigation, or Allu Arjun to influence witnesses.

Revathi's husband Bhaskar, based on whose police complaint and FIR was filed and Allu Arjun was arrested by the Hyderabad Police, has maintained that he and his family were at the Sandhya Theater to catch the Pushpa 2 premiere, only because his son Shri Tej was a big Allu Arjun fan. Bhaskar even stated in the media post Allu Arjun's arrest that he was unaware of the police action, and does not hold Allu Arjun accountable for what happened on December 4.

Taking cognizance of the situation at hand, Allu Arjun has released an official statement via his social media handles, and it reads,

"I remain deeply concerned about young Shri Tej, who is under constant medical care after the unfortunate incident. Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, I have been advised not to visit him and his family at this time My prayers remain with them and I remain committed to taking responsibility for addressing the medical and family needs. I wish him a speedy recovery, and I look forward to meeting him and his family at the earliest."

Post his release from jail on Saturday morning, Allu Arjun had told the media,

“We are extremely sorry for the family, it is purely accidental. I was inside the theatre watching the film with my family and the incident took place outside the theatre, It was purely of no direct connection to me. My love and respect to the family. I have been visiting the theatre for the last few years, I have been to the same place almost 30 times. Never has such a thing happened. It was purely accidental. I am extremely sorry for the accident that happened,"

Allu Arjun had also announced before that he would be donating Rs. 25 lakhs to Revathy's family, and take care of the medical expenses of the 9 year old Shri Tej who is currently in critical condition after suffering from asphyxiation due to the overcrowding and stampede at Sandhya Theater on December 4.
