Trisha to debut in Sandalwood

Trisha to debut in Sandalwood

The svelte beauty Trisha who has acted in several Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films is all set to make her debut in Sandalwood with Puneet Rajkumar. The film will be a remake of Telugu film 'Dookudu'. Dookudu starring Mahesh Babu and Samantha directed by Sreenu Vytla hit the screens in 2011. The film turned out to be a blockbuster. 

Kannada’s ‘Power Star’ Puneeth Rajkumar will reprise the role of Mahesh Babu. Trisha is said to have signed on the dotted line for an whopping amount. The film will go on floors soon. 

Trisha is eagerly awaiting the release of Endrendrum Punnagai which is set to hit the screens on December 20.

Aamir Khan and Kamal Hassan came together for the opening ceremony of the 11th Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF). The eight-day extravaganza (Dec 12-19) will screen 163 films from 58 countries.

Bhagyaraj's Thunai Mudalvar starts rolling

Veteran actor-director K.Bhagyaraj is known for directing family oriented movies. After a long hiatus, the director is making a comeback in Kollywood with a film called 'Thunai Mudhalvar'. He had last directed Siddhu +2 starring his son Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in 2010. 'Thunai Mudhalvar' went on floors yesterday in Chennai. Shweta Menon has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Bhagyaraj.

SJ Surya's Isai nearing finish line

S.J.Surya’s highly ambitious venture Isai is inching towards completion. The film shooting is almost complete except for a song which is likely to be shot soon. SJ Surya apart from directing is also scoring the music for the film. The film has been in the making for quite sometime. The audio of the film is likely to be out on Valentine's day (Feb 14).

Isai is about the rivalry between a veteran composer and an upcoming composer. Sathyaraj plays a pivotal role. Newcomer Savithri plays the female lead.
