Meiyazhagan starring Karthi and Arvind Swami in the lead is a emotional buddy comedy movie that is all set to release in theaters on September 27, 2024. Written and directed by C Prem Kumar of 96 movie fame, Meiyazhagan follows the story of Arunmozhi Varman (Arvind Swami), who visits his hometown for a cousin's wedding after being forced to leave the place 22 years ago.
Karthi whom Arvind Swami doesn't recall gets super affectionate even sharing childhood memories, but Arvind Swami does not have a clue about who this 'Meiyazhagan' is. What happens next forms the rest of the movie. Also starring Rajkiran as Arvind Swami's uncle Sudalamuthu, Swathi Konde as Arvind Swami's cousin Bhuvana, Devadarshini as Arvind Swami's wife Hema, and Sri Divya as Karthi's wife Nandini, Meiyazhagan had a special screening on September 25, 2024.
