One of the most popular Disney Plus Hotstar OTT shows is the American crime comedy titled Only Murders In The Building, aka OMITB. Introduced during the pandemic amidst the OTT boom, OMITB follows an unusual trio of two septuagenarians, Charles Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and a young adult, Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez).
For three seasons now, the trio has gone from being strangers who live in the same building in New York, to thick friends who solve mysteries and murders that keep lingering around their lives. Team OliMabel (the Charles is silent), is back with a Season 4, and their first episode is out now with English subtitles.

Charles Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam, and Mabel Mora are residents of a once-exclusive New York apartment called the Arconia. Their adventures together dates back to the first murder in the building, Tim Kono's. Tim Kono (Julian Cihi), also a resident of the Arconia was childhood friends with Mabel, until one of their other friend gets killed, and their friendship comes to a halt. In Season 1, Mabel gets to solve who killed Tim Kono, and also finds out that their friend who died years ago, was accidentally pushed from the building, which Tim knew about and was plotting the perpetrator's downfall, keeping Mabel out of the loop.
In Season 2, Arconia's founding board member Bunny Folger (Jayne Houdyshell) is murdered, and Charles, Oliver and Mabel are framed for it. The trio, who also podcast about their amateur murder solving, now have a wider audience, and get to the bottom of a murder, as well as a sinister competition in the podcast business.
Only Murders in The Building Season 3
Only Murders in The Building Season 3 is set a year later from the first two seasons, and takes a detour from murders in the Arconia building. Mabel, who got to live in the Arconia because she was remodeling her aunt's house, fulfills her purpose and moves out of the building. But the murder of Hollywood actor Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) who is cast in Oliver's Broadway production, reunites the OliMabel trio into solving murders again.
During the course of OMITB Season 3, Oliver finds love in budding actress Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep), Mabel temporarily moves in with Oliver because she's out of a house and a job, and Charles has broken up with his longtime make-up artist, and girlfriend Joy (Andrea Martin). Joy starts dating another actor who shares physical similarities with Charles besides Sazz, Scott Bakula.

Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), who played body double for Charles on his one famous acting gig, the old cop show Brazzos, is known in the OMITB world for dating everyone Charles dates, but after him. She is shot by an unknown assailant at the end of season 3, with a snipe clearly meant for Charles.
Only Murders in The Building Season 4
Only Murders in the Building Season 4 begins with Oliver's Broadway production from Season 3, i.e. Death Rattle loosing funding. While the ageing theater director worries about remaining 'washed-up', a Hollywood film offer to turn the OMITB podcaster's story into a movie, walks in.
Charles, starts to worry about Sazz Pataki, who in Season 3 told him she had something 'sensitive' to discuss with him about, offers to bring a bottle of alcohol from his apartment, but he never hears from her again. Charles gets to meet Scott Bakula, whom Sazz Pataki body doubles for too. In Season 1, Oliver Putnam famously bonds with Charles Haden Savage with the line, "Oh you're not Scott Bakula?", mistaking him for the real life TV/Broadway actor, whom Oliver 'rejected many many times' Bakula auditioned for his theater plays.
