11th Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF)

11th Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) is gearing up to begin on December 12th until December 19h. CIFF started in 2003 and has been screening international and domestics films for the past 10 years. 165 films from 58 countries will be screened during this 8 day event. The festival screenings will be held in eight screens in total in five venues namely Woodland Theatre Complex, Inox Screens, Abirami Mega Mall, Rani Seethai Hall & Casino Theatre.

Kamal Haasan and Aamir Khan will inaugrate the 11th Chennai International film festival on Dec 12th. Mohanlal will attend the closing ceremony on December 19.

12 Tamil feature films will compete for the CIFF Award for Best Film (Director & Producer), Second Best Film (Director & Producer) & the Special Jury Award. The list of Tamil films selected in competition category at the 11th CIFF:

Anirudh bags 'Amitabh Bachchan Youth icon of the year' award

Amitabh Bachchan award for the “Youth Icon of the Year” is a new award instituted this year. Anirudh has bagged the 'Amitabh Bachchan Youth icon of the year' award of the 11th Chennai International Film festival. He will be handed over the Youth Icon of the Year award on December 19th, 2013 at the CIFF valedictory function.
