The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT) starring Vijay in the lead is an upcoming sci-fi action that is all set for a worldwide release on September 5, 2024 (Thursday). The GOAT's Telugu state distribution rights have been bagged by Mythri Movie Makers, and according to the buzz in the Tollywood film circles, for a career-high price for Vijay movies in the region.  

Reportedly, The Greatest of All Time's Telengana and Andhra Pradesh (AP) distribution rights have been sold for Rs. 30 Cr, which is a Rs. 8 Cr. jump from Vijay's last release in the region - Leo (2023). The GOAT is a production venture of AGS Entertainment, and is written and directed by Venkat Prabhu.

The Greatest of All Time is one of the last movies of actor Vijay, who plans to enter full-fledged politics in 2026 by contesting for Chief Minister in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Elections. Vijay appears in dual roles alongside an ensemble in The GOAT; The movie has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music.
