The 66th Annual edition of Grammys i.e. awards presented by the Recording Academy of the United States to recognize outstanding achievements in the music industry, took place in Los Angeles on February 4, 2024 from 8 PM EST [February 5, 2024 6: 30 AM IST]. American pop and global music sensation Taylor Swift created history, by becoming the first artist ever to win the biggest award of Grammys i.e. Album of the Year 4 times. She took home the gilded gramophone for her 2022 studio album Midnights.

India for its part brought home Grammy laurels via the fusion band, Shakti. Shakthi which features renowned artists like John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, V Selvaganesh, and Ganesh Rajagopalan, won the Global Music Album for This Moment that released in June, 2023.

Originally a 1970s band, Shakti reformed in 2020, and released their fourth album i.e. This Moment which was their first work as Shakti in 46 years. The album is currently gearing up for a world tour under the name Shakti50.
