PUBLISHED DATE | 27/Dec/2023

Sci-fi comedy action thriller Ayalaan starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead is an upcoming Tamil film that is all set to release in theaters on January 12 for Pongal, 2024. Last evening, a pre-release event for the movie took place in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in the presence of Ayalaan cast and crew. This pre-launch event also served as the Ayalaan audio launch function, and updates from the evening were posted by KJR Studios on their official X platform handle.

Excerpts of who said what at the Ayalaan audio launch:

Sivakarthikeyan (Ayalaan lead star): "When we started Ayalaan (in 2016), we didn't know the word 'PAN India'. With the success and opportunities we had seen in Tamil cinema, we decided why not do a movie like this and made Ayalaan. This movie was made with a lot of difficulty, as we did not want to loose our vision."

R. Ravikumar (Ayalaan writer, director): "I’ve never believed in numbers. I have always trusted the emotions. I can only promise that when the audience steps out of the cinema, they will feel like they’ve watched a good film. That’s something I can promise with Ayalaan."

AR Rahman (Ayalaan music composer): "I had to do 5 times better than what I had imagined (for the movie). We worked almost 3 months continuously for Ayalaan"

Lyricist Vivek"Even AR Rahman sir's silence is music. And for Ayalaan, his songs are a really strong support"

Kotapadi J Rajesh (Ayalaan film producer)“It is going to be Ayalaan Pongal only. Baahubali is the benchmark for Telugu cinema. Likewise, Ayalaan will set a benchmark in Tamil cinema, in terms of CGI.”

Actor Sivakarthikeyan distanced himself from his producer's statements saying, "Whatever producer KJR spoke out of emotions is just for publicity (of the film). I do not have any connection to it."

Bejoy Arputharaj (CEO of Phantom FX Studios): "Sivakarthikeyan sir and KJR (producer) sir have a lot of trust in this project. And (R) Ravikumar is tirelessly working on this and he has ideas for bigger projects."
