[Updated: November 20, 2023] The highly anticipated digital premiere of Tamil movie Leo starring Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Madonna Sebastain, Gautham Menon, Priya Anand was expected on November 21, 2023 [Tuesday]. However Leo's OTT release date is said to be November 24, 2023 [Friday], a further date from the previous buzz. An official announcement on the same is however awaited.

Inspired by A History of Violence (2005 Hollywood film based on 1997 graphic novel of the same title), Leo is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and is part of the filmmaker's LCU [Lokesh Cinematic Universe] franchise. Leo is set immediately after the events of Kaithi (2019), the first LCU movie, and actor George Maryan as Napolean from that world makes an important crossover to Leo.
Leo: Bloody Sweet has Anirudh Ravichander for music, Manoj Paramahansa for cinematography and comes with a runtime of 164 minutes. The film also has special appearances by Anurahg Kashyap, Kamal Haasan (voice only).
