LCU [Lokesh Cinematic Universe] movie Leo starring Vijay in the lead released in theaters on October 19, 2023, and the action thriller written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently on week 5 of theatrical run. Leo faced a big drop in week 4 of its theatrical run i.e. between November 9, 2023 to November 15, 2023 owing to the arrival of new Diwali film releases, and loosing screens because of the same. The Vijay starrer however managed to make bank as predicted, and raked in around Rs. 2 Cr+ in Tamil Nadu (TN) alone. 

"Leo will be running at 45% distribution share by Diwali (4th week). So theater owners in the place of new releases like Jigarthanda 2 or Japan which will have a 55% distribution share, will try and hold Leo for that 10% margin. Even to (multiplexes like) PVR and AGS Cinemas, we have given at only 55%...I expect Leo to hold in atleast 200 screens by Diwali." - Leo producer Lalith Kumar of 7 Screen Studios in an interview last month. 

Now in week 5, Leo has returned to a significant number of theater screens in TN, and it is estimated that the film is currently running in 100+ screens across the state. The low distribution share from week 4 onwards means that the continued run of Leo in theaters is an added advantage for theater owners.
