Digital premiere of Leo and confusion over the OTT release dates of two movies of the same name is a hot issue in Netflix town. To clarify, Leo starring Vijay in the lead is a Tamil-Indian movie that released in theaters on October 19, 2023. The film is currently in week 2 of its theatrical run, and will be making its digital premiere on Netflix next month. Tamil language Leo's OTT release date is expected to be November 14, 2023 [Tuesday] or November 15, 2023 [Wednesday]. 

Another Leo that is all set to release on the same Netflix streaming platform, is an animated feature featuring a lead voice-over by Hollywood actor Adam Sandler. This English language Leo's OTT release date is November 21, 2023 [Tuesday] in India. 

While Vijay's Leo is a gangster action thriller inspired from the History of Violence movie (2005)/book (1997), Sandler's Leo is a musical comedy as seen through the eyes of an elementary school class pet. The former is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is part of his LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) franchise. The latter is directed by Robert Marianetti, Robert Smigel and David Wachtenheim.
