Before the break of dawn this morning, film personality cum politician Udhayanidhi Stalin raked up a storm on the X platform by posting that Leo starring actor Vijay in the lead is an 'LCU' movie. LCU stands for Lokesh Cinematic Universe and this franchise of director Lokesh Kanagaraj so far has two different movies from two different production banners. Leo is supposedly the third film from a third production house, but director Lokesh has never explicitly confirmed the same [He has however spoken about why it is difficult to make this reveal at the onset].

With Leo releasing worldwide tomorrow i.e. October 19, 2023 Udhayanidhi Stalin made this reveal, even though his company Red Giant Movies is not associated with Leo in any capacity. Udhayanidhi's fatther and DMK honcho MK Stalin is the current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Given actor Vijay's political aspirations, fans have always assumed a cold war between the two parties. The cancellation of Leo audio launch event at the last minute was also blamed to be part of "DMK's big plan" in thwarting Vijay's popularity [There is no concrete basis or solid evidence to support this fan-theory].
