Moviecrow had earlier reported that Dhanush has been signed by director R. Balki of 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Paa' fame for his next Hindi film. He will be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan. Akshara Haasan will be playing the female lead. The film will have music by Ilayaraja and PC Sreeram will handle the camera.

Dhanush who made an impressive debut with Anand L Rai's 'Raanjhnaa' has confirmed the news in his microblog. The actor had tweeted, "Yes guys, my next Hindi film is with Balki sir. Very excited and eagerly looking forward to it. Privileged to share screen space with Big B himself. Ecstatic to be part of Raja Sir's musical again. Finally, a chance to work with P.C sir"

Dhanush's upcoming projects include Anegan and Vellai Illa Pattathari in Tamil.
